In a busy practice, we still want to be able to provide the very best individualized treatment for our patients. Being able to prescribe “expeditiously” can be a cornerstone of a successful practice if we can do it efficiently and effectively without falling into sloppy and “off the cuff” prescribing.
In September 2024, a fabulous group of current NESH students and alumni gathered together in person to enjoy one of our typical NESH Advanced Clinical Class Weekends. By diving into the difference between prescribing polycrests vs. smaller remedies, we explored some of the rules to help prescribe efficiently and effectively. Over the course of 3 full days, we saw 10 patients and used this lens of understanding to analyze these cases. Additionally Dr. Herscu provided a framework to discuss end of life issues and presented the materia medica of the “small remedy” Ptelea as a counter point to polycrests. This pre-recorded online case conference grew out of that experience.
While we never know in advance how these cases will play out, there were some interesting themes that came through this weekend. For one reason or another, many of these patients had previously taken a homeopathic remedy. So even though this was our first time seeing them, they were technically in a “follow-up” situation which allowed us to explore our rules of follow up, Herings law, what it looks like when someone is “proving” a remedy, etc.
A number of the patients had symptoms that revolved around issues of pain and/or sensitivity (either hyper or hypo), and others that prompted conversations about nosodes and germs. We were thrilled to have the privilege to treat a family of 3 this time, which often provides insight otherwise missed. Additionally, with 3 cases of young woman in their early 20’s, we were able to see how differently a similar stage in life can play out for different individuals.
This course contains a recording of the live patient cases AND the lectures from that weekend, PLUS additional videos and supplement materials, as well as initial patient follow ups when available. Here is your chance to FIRST work through each case yourself and THEN view both a video analysis AND the repertorization specifics done by Dr. Herscu for each one. It is the next best thing to having been in there in person and is the online clinical learning experience our NESH alumni have been requesting for years!
Available on-demand ONLY for our alumni who have completed a full course of study with NESH, students currently enrolled in our Two-Year Course, and those who have studied extensively with Drs. Herscu & Rothenberg abroad. Category II CEUs
Join Dr. Paul Herscu for expert case taking, as well as methodical and revealing analyses. Review the differential materia medica that patients bring to life with their presence and description of symptoms contextualized in their lives. Benefit from years of experience with dosing and how to assess a remedy’s efficacy in the follow up setting. And watch patients get better!
