Topic: Orchestrating the Post Treatment Plan. Many of us have clear ideas and recommendations for our patients while they are in conventional care to help enhance efficacy, prevent side effects, address side effects that arise, and support the the body, mind and spirit. But for cancer survivors and those living with metastatic disease, oftentimes the path forward is less clear for doctor and patient alike. The rallying cries end, the capacity to stay with all the approaches wanes, the spirits may flag.

Drawing from clinical experience as well as being a cancer survivor, this lecture highlights top approaches to address symptoms residual from conventional care or related to ongoing care in order to improve quality of life. Pivoting then to the importance of shifting the internal environment to be less hospitable to further cancer, the talk emphasizes the broad and specific ways we help patients in this regard. More importantly, this lecture helps providers orchestrate post treatment care based not only on the most current evidence, but on patient capacity, resources, and self-agency. The best plan generated but not geared for the specific patient in question often falls short. Improve your capacity to aim for the most leverage with your patients for best possible outcomes. Learn ways of creating the right plan for the right patient at the right time.
