I grew up close to nature and animals and have taken care of a lot of children, including my own siblings and those of others. The practice of naturopathic medicine has allowed me to keep these elements in my life and use them to help others heal, which is an honor and a privilege. Of all the ways of treating patients available to me as a naturopathic doctor, I love homeopathy the most because often with a little dose, taken in the office, all sorts of health problems gradually resolve themselves without needing to be addressed one by one. I still use manual therapies and supplements as needed, but my aim is to help my patients improve and eventually maintain their physical, mental and emotional health with very little outside help and homeopathy helps them to get there.
On the St. Croix River, Minnesota
I have always had a strong interest in helping to break down the barriers that separate people and though my affiliation with the Baha’i Faith, support local activities that help to connect neighbors to one another and eliminate prejudice. My husband, Sandro, with whom I practice, and I go to Minnesota every summer to play on the St. Croix River, where his family has gone for four generations. We love to travel, hike, kayak and discover new things. I’ve recently started to learn about making visual art of different kinds and do at least one beautiful jigsaw per year!
From NESH: We met Greta at a California ND conference some years back where she asked the best questions and shared insight and experience. We were thrilled when she decided to take the San Diego NESH class in 2016-2017 because we knew she would add a depth and breath of understanding and push us to better articulate what we know and how we practice. She has continued to join us on the East Coast for our Clinical Classes since 2017 and we love having Greta in class because she makes us all smarter!
